AIRBUS A330/350 TYPE RATING COURSE

Our Objectives for 

Your A330/350 Type Rating Training

The Airbus A330/350 Type Rating is valid to fly on the Airbus A330 and the A350.

You can choose to train on either the A330 or A350 for your type rating course.

You will just require a Cockpit Transition Course (CTR) on the A350 or A330 depending on which aircraft you took your initial type rating to fly on both aircraft.

  • Help you acquired the knowledge required following the EASA Standards

  • Give you the operational skills the airlines seeks

  • And adapt the pace of training to your flight experience

Your Type Rating is Split in 4 Phases

GROUND TRAINING

110 Hours / 17 Days

  • Aircraft System Computer Based Training  - 75h

  • Specifications / Aircraft  Limitations - 6h

  • Performance / Weight & Balance / MEL Introduction - 6h

  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - 6h

  • Abnormal Situations / Upset Recovery - 6h

  • Flight Management / FMGS Procedures - 5h

  • Written Exam - 3h

SIMULATOR TRAINING

36 Hours / 9 Days

  • A330 or A350 Fixed Based Simulator (FBS) - 1 Session - 4h

  • A330 or A350 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) - 8 Sessions - 32h

TYPE RATING SKILL TEST

4 Hours / 1 Day

  • Full Flight Simulator (FFS) - Skill Test - 4h

BASE TRAINING

5 Hours / 1 Days

  • Briefing - 1h

  • Aircraft Flying

    • 6 Take offs & Landings

    • 4 Take offs & Landings
      (if you've already hold an MPA Type Rating)

  • For ZFTT Training on Full Flight Simulator (FFS) - 4h

Requirements to Start your Type Rating

To enrol in the Airbus A330/350 Type Rating course, you must meet at least the following conditions:

  • Hold a valid CPL with 70 hours PIC

  • Hold a valid Multi Engine Instrument Rating (IRME)

  • Have completed an MCC Course

  • Hold a valid ATPL(A) Theoretical knowledge exam

  • Have completed an Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) course (only if it is your first MPA type rating)

  • Hold a valid Class 1 Medical certificate

  • Have a minimum of Level 4 in English proficiency
